Musikfest 2008
25 Best Eats
Morning Call columnist Bill White picks his faves after 12 years of eating his way through Musikfest
One of the things I hate is seeing TV stars who have aged so horribly that they look nothing like the way I remember them. Nobody wants to see Gilligan hobbling around with a walker.
Aging in the public eye is tough.
I speak from first-hand knowledge, because here on the cusp of my 12th year of Eating My Way Through Musikfest, which begins Friday, I'm clearly not the man I used to be. As I write this, my tongue is working over the empty place where part of a tooth just fell out.
But I've still got the zest to eat, and once again I'll be leading the way in the second annual Eating Your Way Through Musikfest contest.
That said, I'm the go-to guy when it comes to writing about the best eats at Musikfest. Choosing the top 25 was a daunting task. Here's the list, in no particular order, really, except my favorite is No. 1. Note: Some of the vendors are, sadly, no longer around.
