Liza Mattison, Newspaper in Education Supervisor

As the Newspaper in Education Supervisor at The Morning Call, I am responsible for providing newspapers and curriculum material to elementary and secondary schools in our circulation area. I also give teacher workshops, visit schools and provide the stories that are published in the a.m. Magazine section of The Morning Call on Mondays. A special interest of mine is to educate young people about the value of the First Amendment.

I am a New Jersey native, but have been a Lehigh Valley resident for the past 25 years. I live in Williams Township with my husband Bob, a professor of art history at Lafayette College.

I am a Democrat and a super voter, and I am proud that my son and daughter are super voters, too.

In the past, I have been involved in the PTA, the Girl Scouts, and taught a nature study class and was on the board of the Phillipsburg-Easton YMCA camp, Camp Skycrest. Currently, I support The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation by participating in the Race for the Cure.

Away from the office, my favorite pastime is traveling.
