Stephen Budihas, Vice President for Human Resources

I have been the Vice President for Human Resources at The Morning Call since February 2000. I am responsible for the traditional human resource functions, include training and development, benefits and compensation, labor and employee relations, recruitment and employment, safety and security and risk management. I started at The Morning Call in March 1988 as a human resource manager. Prior to coming to the newspaper, I was a corporate recruiter for a national chemical company.

I am a native of the Lehigh Valley, having been reared in Martins Creek. I graduated from Easton Area High School. I hold a bachelor of science degree in administration from the University of Pittsburgh and a master's of business administration from the University of Notre Dame. I have a teenage son who is in his senior year of high school and a huge Michigan football fan -- talk about family conflict.

I have served on the Easton Salvation Army Advisory Board since 2002, the last two years as chairperson for the board. I am a devout Catholic and tend to have a conservative viewpoint on most fiscal and social issues.
