Tim Kennedy, Publisher, President and Chief Executive Officer

I was appointed the publisher, president and chief executive officer of The Morning Call in February 2006. It is an honor to lead this organization, with its rich tradition of service to the Lehigh Valley. Simply stated, The Morning Call promises to be the most thorough source of local news and information. Making good on that promise makes us one of the best-read newspapers in the country.

The publisher's primary responsibility is to protect the credibility of the newspaper and the trust that readers of The Morning Call and themorningcall.com place in us. As publisher, I strive to grow the franchise through an understanding of our relationship with key constituents - readers, advertisers, the community and my colleagues here who bring you the news every minute of every day. All elements of the newspaper report to me: business areas, newsroom and the editorial board. The board plays a distinct role in the paper's mission. And, we thrive on reader involvement.

It is important for the publisher to be active in the community. I have joined the boards of The Lehigh Valley Partnership, Boys Scouts of America - Minsi-Trails Council, Pennsylvania Newspaper Association and Education 2010! CEO Leadership.

A bit of biography: My wife was born in Reading and I was born and reared in Michigan. We have three school-age children and live in the Saucon Valley School District. As my name implies, I am of Irish-Catholic descent and, although I am not registered with either party, I consider myself a moderate conservative.
