The Pennsylvania State University, located in State College, Pa., was founded as the Farmers' High School of Pennsylvania in 1855. After two name changes, school president Milton Eisenhower gave the college its current name in 1953. Notable alumni include Hugh Rodham, father of Hillary Rodham Clinton; Mark Parker, CEO of Nike; Herman Fisher, co-founder of Fisher-Price; and Slinky inventor Richard T. James.
